This clip, part number 032 121 142, secures the temperature sensor (for the fuel injection) and sender (for the gauge) in the thermostat housing on every 86-92 2wd Vanagon with a 2.1L waterboxer engine. This does not work on a Syncro. It fits 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

This o-ring, part number N 90316802, seals the temperature sender (for the gauge) and temperature sensor (for the fuel injection system) located in the thermostat housing of every 86-92 Vanagon. The 2wd requires one of these for each, while the Syncro only needs it for the sensor, as there is a screw-in sender. When replacing this, it would also be good to replace the clip as well. It fits 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

It fits 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

Temperature Sensor for Fuel Injection - Vanagon 83-85 & Syncro (4WD) Temperature Sensor for Fuel Injection - 86-92 Vanagon Radiator Fan Switch - Vanagon
This official VW temperature sensor, part number 025 906 041, goes in the thermostat housing and sends the signal to the fuel injection computer of an 83-85 water-cooled & Syncro Vanagon. Although it's more expensive than our competitors' aftermarket version, we wouldn't install anything else for such an important function that needs an exact reading. It fits 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

You need this washer to install if you don't already have one.
