This rear upper spring pad, part number 251 511 149, is located between the rear spring and chassis on every Vanagon. This is the original 10mm thickness from the factory. We've seen these fail prematurely with the use of Schwenk springs as they are a slightly larger diameter than factory springs and will not be provided a warranty if that is what you're running.

Fits 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models.

Installed these a few months back. After about 300 miles I just noticed both sides are split through with a 1/2” gap.
Sadly, there are few options available.

Nothing on Buslab, as they are the best...
