Description   This official VW brake pad backing plate, part number 211 615 231A, is for the left (driver) side pad of each girling style caliper on the front of an 80-85 Vanagon. One of these and one right backing plate are used in each caliper. These are important to reduce braking noise. It fits 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985 models. 1 needed per caliper - 2 total
