Description   This reproduction spring, part number 253 070 239, tensions the seat base hinge latch on every Vanagon Westfalia. On most vans we've seen this spring is either missing or broken. These are the best we've been able to find, but they do require some modification to work. One side of the spring needs the square hook clipped off and the first loop bent up to make the hook that goes on the swiveling part. It fits 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 models. 2 needed
