This reproduction alternator tension brace, part number 025 903 251, was originally used to secure the alternator belt tension on 86-92 Vanagon models with a waterboxer engine. We like to retrofit it to earlier models so you can tension the belt with a wrench instead of ta pry bar. To do so you will also need this bolt.
